KAKIE FONTENOT, M.ED., BCBA
Kakie has worked with Behavioral Intervention Group since 2006. While pursuing her undergraduate degree in Psychology, she began looking for a job that would offer her the opportunity to work with children. Kakie became a line therapist in 2005, working in-home for several families with children diagnosed with autism. In 2007, she received her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University. Realizing her desire to work with special needs children, she began working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Kakie continued working as a line therapist and began her supervision under Cassie Bradford and Renee Guidry. After receiving a Master’s degree in Special Education from Southeastern Louisiana State University, she took the BCBA coursework sequence at University of North Texas and became a BCBA in September of 2010.
In addition to being a practitioner. She has been a member of the Louisiana Behavior Analysis Association since 2012, serving as Treasurer, Chair of the Social Media Committee, Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee and participates on the Conference Committee.
